SAM XT is a recommended tourniquet by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC).
The SAM XT has holes along its strap, and prongs on its buckle, so when exactly the right amount of tension is achieved, the mechanism auto-locks. This system eliminates slack, and is far easier to apply on oneself, or on a patient, in a tactical environment. The patented TRUFORCE auto-lock buckle gives one the assurance that it’s been applied tightly, leaving no room for error.

Excess Strap - With the SAM XT you’re able to cut off the excess strap without it affecting the grip of the Truforce buckle. This is especially important in upper arm application, where there is often a length of unused strap, which could be a risk during evacuation.

Fewer Adjustments - SAM XT’s auto-lock system means fewer adjustments, and far less application variation thanks to its consistent amount of windlass turns.

Metal Windlass - The metal windlass rod is lightweight and extremely strong, built with 6061-T6 aluminium.

Time Band - The velcro time band is weather proof, and designed for night vision, ensuring maximum safety and reliability in all conditions.

Windlass C-Hooks - The windlass rests in the angled c-hooks making securing the rod easier and more efficient.

TRUFLEX Plate - The plate is made of durable nylon, making it bendable to fit smaller extremities, but also extremely strong, and resistant to breaking.

TRUFORCE Buckle - The automatic locking prongs click into place, into the holes on the precision strap, when the tourniquet applies the optimum level of force, eliminating the slack typically found in other tourniquet designs.
